Wood Carvings

Professional Chainsaw Sculptor, Chris Wood spent a week running a wood carving course with Students from the Ferndown Upper School.  Working on the Sculpture site at Millennium Park, they designed and created three unique items carved from Beech wood that have now been installed and planted with flowers and ferns. Chris recently returned and created some more wood carvings including an innovative Musical Log Drum to enhance the children’s play area opposite the Ferndown Middle School.
The project has been supported and sponsored by Paul Miller's, Dorset Stone and Gravel; Banyards - the local Landscape Contractor; Haskins Garden Centre and the Ferndown Rotary Club who made a generous donation towards the purchase of plants and materials.
